Understanding SACOT: How Our Comprehensive Outpatient Program Supports Recovery

For professionals seeking structured support during their recovery journey, a Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) program can be a game-changer. At Welwynn, our SACOT program provides intensive care tailored to meet clients where they are—offering the tools and support they need to heal and thrive.

We specialize in working with professionals aged 18 and up—from emerging leaders just starting out in their careers to seasoned executives—providing a discreet, upscale, and person-centered path to recovery.

SACOT is the same level of care traditionally known as PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program). We’ve embraced the SACOT name because it better reflects our individualized, whole-person approach to treatment.

What is SACOT?

Our SACOT program is a day treatment model designed for individuals who need a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services but don’t require 24/7 supervision in a residential setting. Clients attend group sessions five days a week for four hours each day, as well as one hour of individual therapy a week, returning home in the evenings to continue their recovery in their own environment. This balance allows for intensive support while encouraging personal responsibility and independence.

What Does SACOT Include?

Group Therapy: Clients participate in group sessions 5 days a week for 4 hours, from 10am–2pm. Daily sessions create space for connection, shared experiences, and peer support.

Individual Therapy: Weekly one-on-one sessions with skilled therapists to address personal challenges and set meaningful goals.

Holistic Support: Services such as massage, Ayurveda, and other wellness practices to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual balance.

How Can SACOT Help?

SACOT serves as a step up from Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), offering a more immersive experience for those who need additional structure and guidance. It’s an ideal option for individuals transitioning from residential treatment—or for those who find that IOP alone doesn’t fully meet their needs. By addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—SACOT empowers clients to build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.

Key Benefits of SACOT:

  • A structured and supportive environment

  • Intensive focus on recovery goals

  • Opportunities for personal growth and healing

  • The ability to live at home and stay connected with family or work
